CDMO, an inevitable future

I firmly believe that in the near future, the role of CDMO will become a standard position within every successful organization, much like the roles of Chief Relations Officer (CRO) and Social Media Manager (SMM) have evolved over the past decade.


As we know, data governance is not a one-time activity, but rather a mindset that requires ongoing investment of time and resources, similar to the attention given to HR, Finance, and Customer Relations. The CDMO will be responsible for ensuring that the company has a shared and well-structured understanding of how data should be handled. This includes establishing naming conventions, defining systems and reporting processes, managing new data entries, and conducting regular reviews of data quality.


By recognizing the importance of Data Management and creating a dedicated CDMO position with equal importance to the CFO, COO, and HR partner, companies will gain a significant advantage in the race to become business champions.
